5 Weight Loss Management Tips To a Better Healthy Christmas

Maintaining your weight loss management programme is a challenge during the holiday periods especially during the Christmas break. You have asked all your friends over to enjoy another season of food intake-what are the best pointers to make sure you stick to your normal programme diet without affecting the rest of the crowd?

If this is a challenge for you then there are certainly some tips that can make sure your weight loss programme does not get interrupted. With a firm grip on mental control you can be assured that the traditional Christmas food intake does not hinder your weight loss control programme. It just takes a little organizing. To start the ball rolling we can begin with the following:

1. Introducing the nut family with raw nuts and seeds – almonds, walnuts, pumpkin seeds, brazil nuts, cashews, sesame seeds…there is enough protein in nuts to provide the necessary protein, fats & minerals which are essential for the body.

2. We all know that lollies or sweets are part of a Christmas meal for children & teens. Just some replacement with dried fruits, bananas, apples, oranges, figs can build that healthy diet.dried fruits – apples, apricots, raisins, banana, currant…Many dried fruits are nice and sweet-children wont know the difference.

3. Traditional ways of eating 3 meals a day is not part of the weight control diet. Spreading 5 small portion meals throughout the day tends to be healthier. Your metabolism should be nice and consistent.300 calorie portions tends to be a winner.

4. Instead of frying meats, use a grill where the fat will run off. My wife does this in a George Forman cooker where excess fat falls to the bottom of the tray.

5. The best dips that seem to be more healthy are low fat dips such as hummus. Chopped up raw veges such as carrots, celery, cauliflower flower for dipping. Cheese dips have fat. Avoid at all costs. Choose tomato salsa dips. They tend to be nice and tasty.

The obvious focus to maintaining your weight loss is to write out a list of the dos of fat reduced foods. There are many alternatives to a healthier diet and it shouldn't take too long to replace old traditional fat foods with very low cholesterol foods. The healthier, the better.

There is no reason why you cannot have an enjoyable Christmas with the best low fat modifications to your diet. As part of the weight loss programme it is also important on a Christmas day to take a lot of water fluids instead of the fizzie drinks. Soft drinks, fizzie drinks. There are many sugar coated drinks out there that can interrupt your weight loss programme.
Keep this in mind as part of your dos healthy diet.

So have a go at this simple formula and make your Christmas day an enjoyable one and perhaps many more to come.
