Food Craving Addictions


One of my favorite pastimes when I am feeling bored or lazing about around home is the food craving addictions I seem to succumb to. Not that I hate food, but certain cravings of food types seem to overwhelm me. Is it because I love eating or is it because of habit forming tendencies seem to overcome my subconscious mind. This shape or form affects everyone of us everyday of our lives. Once a particular food is taken for the very first time it seems that our bodies absorb those nutritious cravings of taste to our palate. Thoughts come to our minds as we feel these hunger pains groan in our stomachs. 'I just need that burger'. 'I Could do with a nice hearty meal of steak, eggs and chips',or 'I could do with a sweet cream bun'.

We can go on and on about the very appealing foods that we love to eat.

The commercial aspects of advertising can be enticing as many foods are portrayed on television through kitchen chef demonstrations or the latest food craze discounts from the food burger giants.The food craving addictions I believe go even deeper emotionally as low self esteem of afflictions hinder our everyday zest for life.

For some unfortunate reason and no fault of any victim-some emotional heart ache has affected a person to feel loved in some way shape or form. This might have come because of unloving family relationships during childhood. Whatever the situation is-food seems to be the rescuer because of its natural nutritional feeling to fill the empty space.Over time these food craving addictions will come to the fore. We do not need to be a rocket scientist to have this experience. A look in a mirror or on the weight scales seems to tell us a true picture of our waistline.

Let us try to examine the foods that can be addictive to our frenzy eating behavior. What are they? or Is this addiction similar to alcohol or smoking. Our waist line will give us a realistic noticeable answer.

I must honestly say that Caffeine has to be one of the food craving addictions on this planet. With a quick drink of coffee in the morning after a late night out the previous day. Some type of stimulant from coffee provides a good wake up call.I have never experienced this myself as coffee has never been on my daily food agenda. In fact I have not drank caffeine for over 25 years. I feel healthy and quite alert to the beauties of life around me.

Besides coffee. If we were to look at the soft drink labels that are sold in our supermarkets.One can see what ingredients are contained within its recipe. Caffeine can be easily identified. I am very much alert at looking at many of these soft drink labels as I shop around the market place.

Sugar.
Also has to be an addictive type of stimulant that takes many people to the frenzy eating behavior patterns. Many mothers with ADHD children will remind any visitor to not give young sonny Jim that red sugary soft drink. Why? because of the sugary boost of energy flowing through the flavor. Children can find it difficult keeping still. Most diabetics would have experienced this sugar potent crave with all the many types of foods they have been addicted to. A person with healthy fitness awareness is conscientious of what foods are better to take. This type of person has a clear written down goal to focus on.
Carbs.
I have never thought much about carbs as an addicted food substance. It was not until I noticed my waist line bursting through the seems. I realise that my love for bread was causing me to put on weight.I just love bread, especially the wholemeal breads. I can remember as a youngster that whenever we went fishing at the wharf. A nice fresh loaf of bread was the lure to attract the fish as well as eating for the sake of the taste and texture. Too much of it was the problem. However I noticed that whenever I would do some type of exercise, such as running everyday. My proper weight would remain.

In all fairness as I wrap up this article on Food Craving Addictions. The best possible answer for proper food intake to encourage our lives of healthy living has to be moderation in all things.A well looked after balance diet will keep our charisma glowing everyday with excitement.
